A heart is the vital pumping organ of the human body that provides oxygenated blood to the whole body organs. Heartbeats in proper rhythm and sometimes it is disturbed to due to some factors. As a result of this disturbance heart may beat slower or faster than usual or may its beat becomes irregular. This situation is commonly known as Arrhythmia. Heart rhythm problems (cardiac arrhythmias) occur when the electrical impulses that coordinate the heartbeat do not work properly and make the heartbeat too fast, slow or irregular. Cardiac arrhythmias can give the impression of a heart that beats very fast and can be harmless. However, some cardiac arrhythmias can cause annoying signs and symptoms, sometimes even fatal. The treatment of cardiac arrhythmia can often control or eliminate rapid, slow or irregular heartbeats. In addition, because problematic cardiac arrhythmias are often aggravated, or even caused, by a weak or damaged heart, you may be able to reduce your risk of arrhythmia by adopting a heart-healthy lifestyle.
