Summary about Cervicitis in English

Cervicitis is an inflammation of the cervix, the narrow lower end of the uterus, which opens into the vagina. Possible symptoms of cervicitis include bleeding between menstruation, pain during intercourse or cervical exam, and abnormal discharge. However, it is also possible to have cervicitis and show no signs or symptoms. Cervicitis is often the result of a sexually transmitted infection such as chlamydia or gonorrhea. Cervicitis can also develop from non-infectious causes. The successful treatment of cervicitis involves treating the underlying cause of the inflammation. Cervicitis is an inflammatory disorder of the cervix which is the lower, narrow end of the uterus that opens up into the vagina.
