Summary about Cyanotic Heart Disease

It is a defect of heart that may be characterized by the mixing of oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood and leads to the supply of this blood to the organs of the whole body.

It basically falls under the category of congenital heart defects (CHD). It is basically caused by-birth and leads to the bluish tint to the skin which is commonly known as cyanosis.

All these cases are handled by the medical professionals commonly known as Cardiologists.

Causes
There are several defects in the heart that may lead to this disease such as;

• Tetralogy of Fallot
• Transposition of the great arteries
• Tricuspid atresia
• Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection

• rounded, large fingers (clubbed fingers)
