Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) occur as a result of problems with the jaw, jaw joint (or TMJ), and surrounding facial muscles. The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the joint that connects your mandible (lower jaw) to your skull. These are disorders of the jaw muscles, temporomandibular joints, and the nerves associated with chronic facial pain.

Symptoms of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders

The symptoms of Temporomandibular disorders are;

• Pain  or tenderness of your jaw.
• Aching  facial pain.
• Locking  of the joint, making it difficult to open or close your mouth.
• Aching  pain in and around your ear.
