I took my 4.5 years old grandson to MMI emergency as he had a head injury after he slipped at home resulting in a head bump and severe headache. CT scan was performed and he was diagnosed with EDH Epidural Heamotom and emergency doctor suggested us craniotomy. We consulted Neuro Surgon Dr Muzaffaruddin sb and he had a detail examination of my grandson and based on his symptoms suggested admission for Pain management and observation of any abnormal symptoms and that he will go for craniotomy if any such symptoms are observed. During our stay in hospital he was very helpful and discussed all the updates and condition of my grandson. Based on the symptoms an agreed decision for conservative management of EDH was taken. I was very much worried about health of my grandson and complications and post procedure consequences of craniotomy surgery but Dr. Muzaffaruddin professionally and morally supported us and guided us. He listens to his patients patiently and his attitude towards his patients is very humble, helpful positive and cooperative.

On 4th day, we again rushed to MMI owing to his severe headache. His CT was executed and epidural hematoma (EDH) of 2 cm was reported. On 5th day, pain started to settle down and no further symptoms were seen. As there was no fresh bleed and unfortunately/fortunately EDH was not reported within 48 hours, so there were 2 options: Surgical or non-surgical (conservative management). Dr. Muzafar guided us about what are pros and cons of both routes. We were confused and had fears of both options. Dr. Muzafar took a shared decision to manage conservatively as no sympotoms were seen after 13 days. He said he would only consider surgery if there would be any danger symptom or significant change in radiology (CT/MRI). This is what recent also suggest. I pray and hope full recovery of my son. During the treatment of my son (who unfortunately had such a severe road accident that he had broken his mandible apart, cheek cuts, tongue cut into two from front, broken jaw, teeth broken, head injury/blood clotting, collar bone fracture and other related injuries etc.) wherein Dr Muzzaffar Uddin extended his professional support by giving quality treatment, taking right and timely decisions and even post surgeries he remained curious and concerned about the progress and health condition until his complete recovery. By the grace of Almighty Allah my son is now living a normal life. We have no suitable words to thank Dr Muzaffer Uddin for all his help. He’s a kind person and listens to patient’s complaints thoroughly and attentively. He indeed is a ‘qualified and professional’ doctor in his area of expertise in neuroscience discipline. Dr. Muzaffaruddin is truly an exemplary individual, a man of virtue whose accurate diagnosis and compassionate nature set him apart. His heart and words are imbued with empathy, and I have personally witnessed him as a paragon of humanity and kindness. To summarize, he scheduled our operation for Saturday, August 18, and was in the operating theater even before the appointed time. We brought the patient to the hospital at 9 AM, where she was administered medication, underwent several tests, and had a chest X-ray. Dr. Muzaffaruddin’s reassuring demeanor was so comforting that the patient, who had never even taken an injection willingly, was prepared for the surgery. The procedure lasted an hour, followed by three hours of semi-consciousness. By 11 PM, we assisted her in standing and walking 20 steps. After a night’s rest, by Allah's grace, she was able to get up by herself the next morning, visit the washroom, have breakfast, and take another walk just an hour later. Remarkably, she was discharged the same day and returned home. Dr. Muzaffaruddin, a neurosurgeon, is a blessing in every sense. If anyone wishes to see an ideal doctor, they need look no further. He is courteous, courageous, compassionate, humane, trustworthy, with a radiant face, bright, shining eyes, and a gentle manner of speaking. Dr. Muzaffaruddin embodies countless admirable qualities. May Allah keep him safe and joyful. The humanitarian work he is doing in Karachi is something only Allah can reward. Our hearts are filled with constant prayers for him. Sindh Government Science College, Karachi میری اہلیہ کو چند ہفتے قبل کمر میں تکلیف ہوئی اٹھتے بیٹھتے شدید درد ہوتا جمعہ نو اگست کو مغرب کی نماز کے لیے وضو کرتے ہوئے اس نے اپنا سیدھا پاؤں واش بیسن پر رکھا تو اس کو اتنا شدید درد اٹھا کہ وہ وہیں بیٹھ گئی اور کافی دیر بعد چند قدم پر بڑی مشکل سے گھسٹ گھسٹ کر وہ صوفے پر پہنچ کر اس پر گر گئی ۔ میں جب حسب معمول رات ساڑھےدس بجے گھر پہنچا تو اسے صوفی پر کراہتے ہوئے پایا میں اس کی حالت دیکھ کر بہت پریشان ہوا مجھ سے اس کی تکلیف نہیں دیکھی جا رہی تھی وہ کمرے میں پڑے موبائل فون تک نہیں جا سکتی تھی تاکہ مجھے اطلاع کرتی میں نے فورا اپنے دوست ڈاکٹر سعید کو بلایا انہوں نے اس کی حالت دیکھ کر اسے پین کلر ٹیبلٹ دی اور وہرون کا انجکشن لگایا اور یوں بڑی مشکل سے رات گزری کولے سے اٹھتا درد پوری ٹانگ میں شدید انداز میں پھیل رہا تھا جیسے تیسے دن گزارا پھر شام کو ارتھوپیڈک سرجن کو دکھایا دوائیں ایکس رے سب کچھ کیا لیکن افاقہ قطعی نہیں ایک فیصد بھی آرام نہیں14 اگست کو آ رتوپیڈک کو دکھایا اب ان کے سینے میں بھی شدید درد ہو رہا تھا ارتھوپیڈک ڈاکٹر نے سینے کے درد کو دیکھ کر کہا کہ آ پ انہیں کارڈیو ویسکولر لے جائیں کارڈیو میں ای سی جی ہوئی کارڈیو والوں نے بتایا کہ انہیں دل کا قطعی طور پر کوئی عارضہ نہیں ہے آپ ایسا کریں انہیں کسی ارتھوپیڈک یا نیورو سرجن کو دکھائیں اگلے دن جیسے جیسے ہم نے وقت گزارا اور پھر جمعرات 15 اگست کی صبح ہم نے ڈاکٹر مظفر الدین نیورو سرجن کو دکھایا انہوں نے ایکسرے دیکھے ایم ار ائی کرانے کا فوری مشورہ دیا ہم نے ہنگامی بنیادوں پر ایم ار ائی کروایا یاد رہے کہ ہم مریضہ کو لانے لے جانے کے لیے ان کے باڈی پر سن کرنے والا اسپرے کر کے لے جاتے تھے کیونکہ ان سے نہ کھڑا ہوا جاتا تھا نہ وہ بیٹھ سکتی تھی اور نہ ہی وہ ہل جل سکتی تھی ڈاکٹر مظفر الدین نے جب ان کا چیک اپ کیا تو ہمیں بتایا کہ انہیں جو درد ہے ایم ار ائی میں یہ سب کچھ ڈائگنوز ہو جائے گا ہم نے ہنگامی بنیادوں پر ایم ار ائی کروایا ڈاکٹر مظفر ہمیں ایک مسیحا کے روپ میں ملے انہوں نے فوری سرجری کا مشورہ دیا اور ساتھ ہی کہا کہ اپ دوسرے سرجن سے مشورہ بھی کریں پھر فیصلہ کریں ہم نے جمعہ 16 اگست کا دن مشورے میں گزار دیا میرے بڑے بیٹے اسد نے مشورہ دیا جو کہ الیکٹریکل انجینیئر ہے جبکہ چھوٹے بیٹے مصور نے بھی یہی مشورہ دیا جو بائیو میڈیکل انجینیئر ہے سبھی کا کہنا تھا کہ ڈاکٹر مظفر الدین صحیح کہتے ہیں ۔انہوں نے صحیح ڈائگنوز کیا ہے وہ ایک نیک فطرت انسان ہیں جذبہ ہمدردی سے سرشار ان کا دل اور ان کی زبان ہے میں نے خود انہیں ایک بہترین انسان دوست اور ہمدرد انسان کے روپ میں پایا قصہ مختصر یہ کہ انہوں نے ہفتہ 18 اگست کو ہمیں اپریشن کا وقت دیا وہ اپنے دیے ہوئے وقت سے پہلے اپریشن تھیٹر میں موجود تھے صبح نو بجے ہم انہیں ہسپتال لائے تھے پہلے انہیں دوائیں دی گئیں چند ٹیسٹ ہوئے اور سینے کا ایکسرے کروایا اور مریضہ کو اس طرح حوصلہ دیا کہ وہ مریضہ جو ایک انجیکشن بھی کبھی نہیں لگواتی تھیں اپریشن پر تیار ہو گئیں ایک گھنٹے کی اپریشن کے بعد تین گھنٹے کی نیم بے ہوشی کی کیفیت میں رہنے کے بعد وہ کسی حد تک نارمل ہوئی رات 11 بجے ہم نے انہیں اٹھا کر 20 قدم واک کروائی رات بھر سونے کے بعد صبح اللہ تعالی کے فضل و کرم سے وہ بیڈ سے خود اٹھیں واش روم گئیں ناشتہ کیا اور اس کے ایک گھنٹے بعد واک کی اور یوں اسی دن ہسپتال سے ڈسچارج ہو کر گھر اگئی اللہ بھلا کرے ڈاکٹر مظفر الدین نیورو سرجن کا اگر کوئی ائیڈیل ڈاکٹر دیکھنا چاہتا ہے تو بس انہیں دیکھ لے با اخلاق با ہمت ہمدرد انسان دوست با اعتماد خوبصورت چہرہ چمکتی ہوئی روشن انکھیں دھیمے دھیمے انداز میں گفتگو کرنا بے پناہ خوبیوں کے مالک ڈاکٹر مظفر الدین اللہ انہیں سلامت رکھے اور خوش و خرم رکھے وہ کراچی میں جو انسانیت کی خدمت کر رہے ہیں اس کا اجر انہیں اللہ ہی دے گا ہمارے دل سے ہر وقت ان کے لیے دعائیں نکلتی ہیں پروفیسر محمد اقبال ناز (ریٹائر)ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر شعبہ اردو ڈی جے سندھ گورنمنٹ سائنس کالج کراچی
