Assalamualaikum. Thanks for your question. People with mitral valve prolapse, particularly those without symptoms, often require no treatment. If you get palpitations or chest pain you may benefit from a beta blocker drug. When mitral valve prolapse is associated with SEVERE mitral regurgitation (MR), mitral valve repair or surgical replacement may be necessary. So at the moment you should have an echocardiogram every year to assess the level of mitral regurgitation. Please don't worry. This is a common condition affecting millions of people and usually everything is ok.

Repeat echo every year . Monitor symptoms.
