Asking For Other, Male 57, Pakistan
We need advice about one of our uncle. He had gone thru angiography in 2004 and was inserted with one stent. Now he suffered another heart attack, went through another angiography. This time the doctors observed that stents may not be beneficial for him becz he is suffering from Triple-vessel disease. Now the doctors are advising him CABG surgery but the Patient is not willing for it. We need your valuable advice as to what is best for him as the doctors said that otherwise 5-6 may need to be inserted. He is 57 years. I am attaching reports, Please have a look.
is your patient diabetic?
in patients with 3 vessel disease best treatment option is CABG
can you send me the video clips or bring the angiography CD to me, reports are written with limited data and showing feasibility for both CABG n PCI as well.
Angio report suggests suitability of stentng as well. It is important to review Angio CD before making decision
middle ages patient with diabetes and tvcad , first line is CABG . go for CABG
It appears that CABG is the best option for the patient. However If the patient is not willing for cabg then stenting can be done as a second option along with optimization of medical treatment.
