Talk to Cardiologist on Heart And Blood Pressure

Salam. My mother has recently recovered from hepatitus. Now she is sufferung from sudden and severe bp low and sometime high blood pressure problem. Her skin became very pale and she suffered from visible weakness in few days. Now one of dr has informed us that there is some blood accumulation in uper part of heart. We r much worried about her as we have very poor medical facilities at our place. Please someone shed light upon her condition and suggest suitable treatment procedure and test.

Blood accumulation in upper part of heart is not a logical and medical
explanation. Weakness is a common complaint after hepatitis. Further
evaluation can be done after seeing the patient. An echo cardiogram may be
necessary to evaluate the heart function if need be .

Wa alaikum salaam. It is very important to investigate your mother's condition and perform a full cardiac evaluation. An echocardiogram is required to confirm whether there is a clot in the heart - if so she will require blood thinning medicine. As regards blood pressure, her medications need to be adjusted and optimized. Blood pressure can be reduced by following a diet rich in whole wheat, fruit and vegetables and also weight loss will allow blood pressure to be controlled better. Her treatment will be a combination of lifestyle changes as well as medical care to achieve the best result for her.
Wa alaikum salaam. I am sorry that your mother is feeling unwell. From what you have posted regarding what your doctor said, your mother may have a blood clot in her heart which needs treatment with blood thinning medicine. She requires a full cardiac evaluation which will include an echocardiogram and holter monitoring to check for an irregular heartbeat which may explain her sudden low blood pressure. Please do get it checked.
