hi , your father is having ischemic heart disease according to this. report ... he needs further workup and medicine adjustment.
report is positive.
you need coronary angiogram.
Symptoms and stress imaging reports are suggestive of significant narrowing of coronary arteries ( arteries which give blood supply to heart muscles). This narrowing leads to shoulder pain and shortness of breath during exertion. Is echocardiogram done ? . Is he taking standard medical treatment for angina? . After optimising treatment and risk factors modification he needs coronary angiogram to assess severety of disease. This will also determine the type of further treatment.
Thanks ,This report is abnormal indicating the possibility of Heart Disease also because he has Diabetes and Hypertension if his pain gets worse on exertion this further supports heart disease the next step is to have an Angiogram which will tell us fo sure I hope his BP and sugar is well controlled and he takes Ascard
This test is an alternative to exercise stress MIBI. It shows that the blood flow to a greater part of your heart muscle is not increasing as it should in normal people. This indirectly indicates that there is severe obstruction in the coronary artery (LAD). Now it is the time to consult your cardiologist to arrange coronary angiography/angioplasty for your father. Left alone this can be the cause of a heart attack.
This is highly confirmative test to confirm ischemic heart disease.
If a patient for any reason can't get the ETT done, we do the Alternative test called
Persantine Thalium Scan
Any history of angiography? Or heart attack
