I have no health problem and enjoying a healthy life and no symptoms of a fast heartbeat or breath. Now I again visit the hospital and did again Echo and TOE by recommendation of a doctor. After reports doctor advised me for ASD closure advise 2 tablets to take daily and refer me to Pedo Cardiologist and Pedo Cardiologist. I visit a doctor and he said I will do it again Echo and then decide. I want to know that as I have no symptoms then ASD closure is safe by device or surgery?

TOE echo shows moderate size ASD with dilated RV… U can concerned with Paediatric cardiologist and even sone adult cardiologist guide you about which is feasible either Device or surgical closure…

According to your TOE Device closure is a good option. and ASD does not cause symptoms before age 40-50 when all the pressure is transmitted from right side of heart to lungs. and once it starts causing symptoms it's treatment becomes difficult so go for closure as soon as possible to avoid problems in near future.... closure is totally safe and mandatory...
