Talk to Heart - Cardiology on Extreme Fatigue
Asking For Self, Male, 43 Years old, karachi
My husband age 43 is a heart patient from last 3 years. He got angioplasty in 2019 (3 stents ,with 70-90-90) blockage. From last 6 months he is job less. Taking following medicines from last 3 years: aspirin 75 mg, crestor, lavigard, concor. All 1 time daily. From last 2 days he is complaining of fatigue. Only feels better for sometime when he wakeup after sleep. He do walk or play with kids he start complaining of weakness . 6 months back his all test were done including blood test, echo . Which was all cleared. No pain. Only weakness. Please any doctor can guide what should he do?? Is there anything serious?? Because he is not ready to goto doctor.

No pain and shortness of breath. Only weakness/tiredness. After sleep he feels completely ok also.

He should get new ECG and echo
Get his baseline investigations like CBC,CRP and renal function test
Liver functions also.Get his CPK done.
Sometimes,weakness and fatigue could be due to anemia and in his case,could be due to side effects of Statin,crescor.
Get his latest Echocardiogram and E.C.G.as well.
Co enzyme Q10 can be beneficial.
you need to convince him to visit in clinic, need to evaluate his symptoms review all his old record and reports and then decide about further management.
Keep taking medications and go to a physician

As ur husband is a heart patient.. he needs evaluation by Cardiologist every 3 to 6 monthly along with routine blood tests , Ecg and ECHO..
as he is feeling weakness and fatigue , he needs to repeat his Blood cp , RFT'S, LFT'S , TFT'S, BSR ,Serum Vit-D3 level, and ECHO as well as CPK , CKMB ..
further its been 3 years after angioplasty... he needs to stop Lavigard but only after checkup.. other medications need to be taken indefinitely..
Patient needs detailed examination and further evaluation. So please bring him to my clinic. Thanks
