My mother is in severe pain of Sciatia in her back and lower body specially in legs. Please suggest me something I'm literally broke up after seeing her like this. As she cannot properly walk and sit on the ground. She has been through neurologists, orthopedics, rheumatologists but not permanent treatment has been made. It takes around 3 months for sciatica to resolve with medication. If it doesn't resolve till then, MRI is needed which if shows a disc problem will advocate a surgery. Usually it resolves in 3 months. Don't worry

sciatica can be troublesome and pain can be resistant to treatment. proper history and examination is must.

If this has been going on for a long time and pain killers have failed then please get an MRI scan of her lumbosacral spine and see an orthopaedic or a neurosurgeon.
