Talk to Dentist on Dark Brownish Liquid Coming Out From Mouth

person-avatar

Asking For Self, Male 28, punjab

السلام علیکم, I've undergone dental scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatment a day before yesterday...

Since yesterday there's been dark brownish liquid is been coming out of lower left side of mouth... Also this secretion is of very pungent taste and smell.... Since then my mouth and tongue has been very dry (if i drink a glass of water, my mouth/tongue will be dried in max 2 min)... I've contacted my dentist he said the these secretions are probably from salivary glands which were closed before due to plaque....

But still I'm not satisfied. Kindly if anyone can help me in this regard.... JazakAllah

dark brown liquid means bloody mixture. as a matter of fact, it can be bloody fluid coming from periodontal pocket, probably. do lukewarm salty gargling, repeatedly, 6-8 times a day and see for the things to settle down, and if don't, get back to the dental surgeon for check up and re evaluation. do inform me about the status.

WALEKUMUSSALAM
it is most probably bleeding from an injured tissue, if you had subgingival calculus then it is normal after scaling. you can use any mouthwash avalible and prosal toothpaste. the condition will subside in 3 to 5 days. it is not something serious so you don't need to worry about it.
