I would not recommend Crowning because it takes a lot of cutting. Veneers on the other hand is a good long lasting solution to intrinsic stains and the cost would depend on the type of material used.
Please post some pictures as well, from your description it could be cured via teeth whitening procedure that could be completed ina single sitting. Prices vary from clinic to clinic.
