Yes if calculus is above gingiva then it's simple scaling if Calculus is below Gingiva its called deep scaling and if thers recession with bone loss we recomended OPG
salaam, yes there's a difference. routine oral prophylaxis include normal scaling usually recommend every 6-9 months,
deep scaling may include deeper penetration and use of anesthesia depending upon severity of the gum disease.

aoa there r 2 type of scaling. one is superficial n other is deep. superficial is recommended when calculus is on the gum level. deep is recommended when the calculus is on the root of the tooth

Yes there is differencebw scaling and deep scaling . Deep scaling also called currettage is basically cle aning of teeth from roots . Whereas, scaling is only superficial removal of tartar.
