Assalam o Alaikum,
whenever I eat something hard like meat, it triggers pain in my teeth and gums. gums swell as well. the pain is intense and it reaches to jaw and brain. could you please suggest me course of action? I am thinking of having a basic x-ray of my teeth and doing a consultation with the dentist.
any medicine to relieve the pain?

you need root canal treatment. you can take synalgo 100 mg three times a day (8 hourly) for relief of pain
For immediate pain relief you can take over the counter painkillers like ibuprofen ( synalgo ,froben) or paracetamol ( panadol).
You must get checked by a dentist, to deal with the swelling and severe pain .
