Asking for Self, Female, 28 years old, Lahore
I am 28 years old. 2 months ago i had root canal. From than i am having swelling in my gums. I took multiple antiboitics but infection is not ending. I went to anorther dentist he extracted my tooth and did my gum biopsy. Results will be after 10 days. I am so scared. Is it normal for dentists to do biopsy or its really a matter of concern. I am still having swelling in my gums even after extraction

Don't be scared , In sha Allah everything will be ok , but you should wait for the results, we can't say anything before diagnosis .
If it's biopsy then wait for the results as it is done for detection of carcinoma so waot for the results

aoa don't worry ery tig will be f9. some times biopsy is done 4 diagnosis
No need to scared . Do you have any medical history Like diabetes,or any kind of nutritional deficiency?may b infectious root partical remain in the socket .if no root partical show in the rediogarph .then to rule out cause we perform biopsy, because if ulcer persist more then one month then we go for biopsy to rule out the actual reason for delayed healing.
Swelling in gums can be due to multiple reasons for e.g Epulis, Periodontal infection etc, Did he take any x-ray?
send me Periapical X ray
Actually the hisrory of swelling u r telling can be Abscess(pus),. RCT failure can happen,. Biopsy is taken if there is non healing ulcer for more than 2 weeks,. Or there is hard swelling like lump is there,. So u need nt to be worried about it,. Wait fr the biopsy report,. & further details i can tell u after clinical examination & radiograpic interpretations,. Thank you
actually swellin is due to pus may be because of RCT failure
