Cemented Fixed Crown can be dilodged and removed from its fixed position with a dental instrument

Medications to heal infection reason which have sensitivity, as follows;

For Infection-Augmentin 625mg/12 hourly - for 3 days - Note: Erythromycin of equivalent potency if cardiac patient

For Pain: Tablet Panadol(Acetaminophen) Plain(without caeffine) 500mg/8 hourly for 3 days or
Tab Ponstan Forte 500mg/12 hourly for 3 days

if you have any prior medical condition involving impaired functioning of cardiac, neural, liver or kidney organs then, consult your specialist for substitute medication for infection(inflammation - anti-inflammatory) and pain(analgesic)

Saline Gargles instead of mouthwash - pinch of tablesalt in lukewarm water/ regimen repeated as many times a day; this will resolve tooth sensitivity to a larger extent

Root canal is advised when there is no infection

After infection has subsided root canal can also be performed without removing crown by gaining access to the pulp chamber from the occlusal surface of intact crown, subsequent root canal exploration, debridement, irrigation and cleaning then seatin and restoring with appropriate dental restorative material;
a prior x-ray is needed in this regard

if there is abcess near the root orifice, medication can be prescribed a little longer till 6 days or
visit nearby dentist and ask him to open the pulp chamber with dental bur and irrigate the pulp chamber and root canals, this will provide immediate relief

Best option is to have crown dislodged, x-ray required to evaluate extent of decay radiographically and after crown removal evaluation of gross decay beneath the crown and then appropriate treatment plan is followed
