Asking for Self, Female, 18 years old, Model Town
I have my molar cavity filled last year with silver . Not a little piece of my tooth has decay (broken ) around the cavity . It is sensitive to hot and cold things and when i bite something it hurts and pain remains there for 20-30 mins . I want to know how should i care for my tooth at home . I can't visit doctor for at least 12 days .
better to wait till you get free to visit a consultant
apply colgate pro sensitive tooth paste with your finger on that tooth 3 times a day and let it be for about 2 mintutes till you are able to see near by dentist.
Probably its a case of root canal. but with further investigation we can give the definite diagnosis. right now just try to avoid using that side while eating. take soft diet. pain killer for tha pain management.

take soft things avoid eating from that side try not to bite at that side use lukewarm water and salt rinses, take brufen in case of pain then consult a dentist immediately
dont use that side use brufen as a pain killer and luke warm water for rinse and visit dentist for refilling
Aoa, you must visit to the nearby dentist . whether refilling of tooth should be advise to you or other will be root canal. Dentist will do an x-ray and then treatment will be confirmed.
You need to get an xray so that proper diagnosis can be made.
sensitivity in already filled tooth cannot be treated at home you will have to visit any dentist at the earliest
you have to visit dentist for your sensitive or painful teeth .. firstly dentist will take your xray of that tooth aftr that he will tell you about treatment either rct/ ya filling of teeth
The silver filling need to replaced as the tooth has gone into a reversible state ...better to visit dentist before the tooth goes into an irreversible state...for the mean time be careful while drinking hot/cold drinks and avoid exerting pressure on that particular tooth ...it’s better to apply Colgate Pro-relief tooth paste as it may relieve the sensitivity.. Thank you
At home you can gargle with warm water added a pinch of turmeric and salt in it twice a day. It will help you a lot until you visit a dentist. First go for an Xray. You might be needing a RCT.
