You need to get an xray done, if the root canal wasn't done properly most probably you will have to get it repeated.

PA xray is required, evaluation of the rct treated tooth.if rct is not up to the mark,there are chances to develop infection that may lead to pain.maybe retreating the tooth again will be the option.
consult some good dentist.

Before giving you solution i want to tell you we do root canal treatment to remove infectious nerve from tooth and replace it with biocompatible material. Sometimes after doing root canal infection reappears in tooth due to many factors. The best way to treat this as a dentist is to take an xray of your tooth and after evaluation we have to decide what do to now but mostly we have to do root canal again with more accuracy and this whole process is almost painless.
