Talk to Dentist on Wisdom Tooth Surgery

person-avatar

Asking for Sister, Female, 31 years old, Sahiwal

My sister had some roots under her wisdom tooth which we extracted through surgery but it was regrown. Then dr said its roots are so deep and reached end of jaw, so they did biopsy and it was non-malignant. Surgery took 4 hours and she was fine but her she had stitches twice ans infection is still there. Dr said may be we would need another surgery but when she visited him 3 days ago after taking antibiotics for a month he said bone has been developed and there is no need for surgery but we will need to do RTC for adjacent tooth as it is creating infection. I am attaching latest xray. Please dr explain if the bone is fine, and why infection is recurring.

the socket looks fine a d so does the adjacent tooth. its an artefact that he might be confusing with caries or exposure on distal side of adjacent tooth.
just keep the oral hygiene maintained. healing will take place.

x-ray is not clear,I suspect jaw fracture at extraction site.please consult a nearby maxillofacial surgeon to rule out bone fracture.

There is jaw fracture at the site of extraction do go for opg and consult oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Adjacent tooth is fine main problem is at the extraction site.

the tooth adjacent to wisdom tooth is fine and doesn't require RCT. make sure to brush and clean ur mouth properly.
do visit a maxillofacial surgeon for a final assessment of the jaw bone healing and overall examination to rule out and possibility of infection or bone damage
