I have been on doxycylin for one month now for acne along with spironolactone 200mg a day I am using benzoyl peroxide soap. my acne has lessen alot but I am concerned if I stop using doxycyclin now my acne will comeback. should I continue it for a little long until it all clears up or should I stop because of the resistance that will devolope. I get a pimple now nd then still. also using clindamycin gel

In my opinion you should keep on taking doxycycline for another one month without stopping it. Keep on using the topical preparation that you are still using for a number of months. Even if you not getting any new acne keep on using it. If you still have problems please visit any of my clinics for re-evaluation and its further treatment.

doctor is it normal to have increase in acne during second month of doxycyclin? my acne got really better during the first month

You didn’t say what the doctor had prescribed you spirinilactobd tablets. It is prescribed if someone has elevated levels of testosterone in blood. Secondly if your acne has increased during the second month of treatment, it means it has developed resistance abs is no more effective. This must be changed now. There is another problem with treatment of acne. The treatment chances with weather changes.
