There might be over application of topical treatment. It should not be more then pea size for all acne and pigmentation and must be at night and a sunscreen is must in day time
What tablets is she on?
Few medicine has side effects like this as well

hi. If acne is accompanied with weight gain then it needs to be further evaluated. Also redness due to acne treatment maybe because of over application of meds or meds not suiting the patient.
