AOA. Is Aldactone 100mg is safe for an unmarried female 33,A dermatologist recommended it to a family member to eat 1 tab daily at night for 6 months.Her problem is just hairfall no history of any diseses,no dandruff, no allergy or any other problem.The doctor also recommended the use of Hyseke shampo and minoxin spray for 6 months.i am very much concerned about tablet please guide.

well tablet aldactone is an anti androgen and androgens are the bad hormones responsible for a specific type of hair loss in women called androgenic hair fall. if the lady is suffering from androgenic loss then she can take it albeit in lower dose i.e 50mg per day and secondly unmarried females can take it no harm. kidney function is to be tested while taking this drug.
