Breast cancer patient survivor, diabetic since 25 years, on insulin and other diabetic medicines, HTN also. Recently she developed on her foot heel diabetic foot type symptoms. Where to show? Advice plz

Need to see a good diabetic foot specialist (podiatrist) for debridement of dead skin. If taking any flozin (emagliflozin/dapagliflozin) then ideally stop it. Start Vibramycin 100mg two capsules on first day and then once daily for atleast 6 weeks provided no allergies. Before starting I would advise a wound swab and culture sensitivity. She need special boot to keep heel off from pressure. If get an X ray foot will be fine and MRI heal would be ideal.
