Talk to Diabetologist on Swollen Feet
Asking for Mother, Female, 66 years old, Lahore
My mother is diabetic and blood pressure patient and is taking insoline from last 6 years (insogate 70/30) two times a day and medicine as well. Her feet are mostly swollen and from last few weeks they have increased alot. She could not walk due to pain in knees only can roam in house. We have done number of tests and changed medicinces from different doctors but still the issue persists. Please suggest

Thanks a lot for riching out. does she has other associated co morbidities like hypertension or kidney disease. if u can share the relevant labs, a picture can come. as far as insulin is concerned they are other better options available in case if u can afford. Also u didn't mention the oral medicines she is using. if u take proper customized advise from a diabetologist, it would help... other complaints like knee pain can be addressed acvordingly. also show her vitD3 level along with other labs. Hope it answers the query
