Subclinical hypothyroidism...needs treatment
..Anti TPO antibodies testing needed
Hi. If patient has symptoms cholesterol levels are high and TPO is positive may need treatment. Better strategy is to repeat the test after 2 months and do lipid profile and check antibodies first. Thanks
Hi there. Your tests indicate your thyroid is not working fully, which means it is not making thyroxine completely required for the body. In your case you might need to start thyroxine to meet the needs of the body otherwise you could develop fatigue, muscle weakness and weight gain. AntiTPO antibodies would be helpful to understand the underlying reason that have caused this problem. Do you have any swelling in your neck and how are your periods?
