Asking for Father, Male, 73 years old, Islamabad
2 months ago, his physician discontinued Thyronorm (thyroid medicine)
Now his thyroid values are high again. His doctor cannot be contacted, so should we start thyronorm again?
Currently taking following medicines: 1- Amodip Plus 2- Maxflow 3- Napadoc 4- Levemir Insulin 5- Zurig 80mg 6- Lecolep 100mg 7- Bone Health Booster
Other health issues include Diabetes, High blood pressure, heart problem and large prostrate
Your must conault your physician for continuation of thyronorm
Yes Thyronorm should be restarted. start with 50mcg daily and repeat Thyroid functiokn tests after 6 weeks. Also keep an eye on kidney function which looks deteriorating.
If he wants to get permanent solutions so take homeopathic treatment and get rid of your problems. If you are interested then take appointment or video consultation with me
your TSH is more then 10 that's need treatnent. most of the time hypothyroidism is life long problem. check your antiTPO antibody test if postive that means you have hashimoto's thyroiditis and will have to take Thyroxine /thyronorm for life.
