Talk to ENT on Blocked Nose

Hi Is it safe to use mometasone (Nasonex) for a 3 year old? My son is allergic to dust mites. He got a score of 4 for dust mites in RAST blood test for allergy testing. He is having blocked nose from last 1 year. He also sneezes alot and keeps rubbing his nose. There is a constant congestion noise that keeps coming from his nose. He is active and all good otherwise. Are there any other tests that we can get done for a better diagnosis of this nasal congestion? Or is this allergy solely responsible for this issue. Can you also please suggest some allergy management plan for this issue. I have already tried antihistamines, saline nasal spray and humidifier, but nothing has worked so far. Thanks

kindly explain his sleeping pattern is it disturebed too and is he a mouthbreather ? any precautions u did for avoiding the dustmites?
Thanks for asking, have you undergone for nose examination by EnT specialist . It is necessary to rule out others pathological problems in the field of nose and nasopharyngeal area, start Myteka sachet 4 mg in water daily along with Syrup Zatofen one tsp for 10 days

No we havent been to an ENT yet. We have got the referral for an ENT, but the wait time is really long. We wont be able to see one for atleast 3 months. The nasal examination you are talking about will just be the physical examination? Or some detail testings needs to be done?

He sleeps fine and wakes up fresh. He mostly sleeps in a position with neck arched back. He mouth breathes sometimes while sleeping but not always. We got to know of this allergy just recently, so havent done anything about it yet.
