Asking For Self, Male 22, Rawalpindi
I am a 22 year old male having history of Myopia (-5.00 both eyes) corrected by LASIK last year. I am advised 20 mg Isotretinoin for moderate acne. I heard Isotretinoin impairs eyesight and worsen myopia. So is it safe for me to take Isotretinoin 20mg for acne?
yes u may take isotretinoin....it might worsen myopia in developing stage but once number is stable then it does not cause myopia as there is no axial lenght variation in the eye at this stage

axial lenght of the eye does does change after 12 years of age where as myopia might progress till 10 to 20 year of age as isotrtinion causes myopia by chamgi g axial lenght of the eye ( and that too a pilot study ) not a proven fact so highly unlikly that it would cause myopic shift at ure age
