Assalam o alaikum My question is for my wife. She is diabetic since 19 years and her age is 25 and diabetes afected her eyes she took 5times laser and 3 injections avastin for ratinopathy. Now her one eye cornea is start detaching amd she can't see from that only few colors amd some movement. Now today we went to dr amd they said she need avastin to keep eye as it is and for next eye laser fro some blood in other eye. Its safe to take avastin for detache cornea and its safe to take laser 6th time? Thanks JazakAllah khair
I need to see the eye and scans before I can comment with authenticity
detached cornea? what is it..... there is no terminology like detached cornea
please share your reports or visit for checkup.... yes laser can be done if there is some areas left for laser
Searched cornea or detached retina???? The eyes need to be examined for proper assessment but one thing is for sure; unless and until the patient's RBS and HbA1c levels are not normal or near normal,

Normal or near normal, ocular treatment is of no use

w.s it must be detached retina Not cornea. depending upon status of retina and extent of damage of diabetes on retina, avastin can be repeated and laser can be done upto certain extent. still there are other options also which can be discussed. so patient examination is must for further guidance and advice
I think you are confusing detached retina with detached cornea. You can share your reports for proper advice
Salam
I agree with dr huma you may be confusing retinal detachment with cornea
In diabetic eye disease laser can be done repeatedly if required.
we don't give inj avastin in eyes with traction retinal detachment
