Aoa dr I have chronic abdominal pain and motions since 1.5 year my fobt test came positive dr suggest me colonoscopy my ques is can I do ct scan Instead of colonoscopy? Is they different to diagnosis large intestine disease?
you can go for CT enterography or MRiI enterography !! or stool calprotectin levels...then share your report
Well - you can go for CT scan instead of colonoscopy- but the sensitivity of Ct scan is lower than a colonoscopy in positive FOBT - so it’s advisable that you should proceed with colonoscopy- so you can get therapeutic options at the same time - more detailed history and other tests will be more helpful in guidance
