AOA respected doctors, two months ago my Hb was 8.6 for that I was given Ferinject and my Hb turned to 9.4 after 15 days. A month later after Iberet folic my Hb decreased to 9.1. Dr asked to do iron profile where my ferritin level was 173. He said take Iberet folic for 10 more days only. I m worried is it normal to be anemic and high ferritin level? I also had vit d deficiency for which dr prescribed just D3 4 capsules and qalsium d tablets for 45 days and then stop these medicine. But I still have symptoms like lethargy and leg cramps. Please let me know if it is because of vit d deficiency or anemia?

Get those done. And consult Internal medicine specialist or general physician for proper diagnosis. Because this doesn't look like just anemia and Vit d deficiency.

u need to improve ur diet,should take apple,banana,beetroot,mutton liver etc,please take appointment with general physician,do follow up with the endocrinologist.
what is the total duration of your illness.how many inj of iron have you received.how long have you taken iron.have you any associated fever jaundice Weight loss.r U married and pregnant provide full detail history and after that send me your All investigation tests ok

It's been 2 months since the treatment was started. I received only one injection which increased hb level from 8.6 to 9.4 but then after one month it was again 9.1. During this period I have been taking iberet folic. No fever or any other symptom except extreme weakness, numbness and leg cramps. I m not married. I have also get iron profile done. Ferritin level is 173. Dr asked to take iberet folic just for 10 days only.
Is it fine to be anemic and have this level of ferritin?

better to call me either on marham or WhatsApp in order to provide me full detail history to reach the diagnosis ok.now its depend on you.by the way i will recommend some investigation test from some authentic laboratory.peripheral smear with retic count,ldh,liver function test , serum ferritin,HB electrophoresis,stool for occult blood test,and ultrasound abdomen and pelvis, by doing All these test then send me on My WhatsApp number

Do your hb electrophoresis, it will show whether any congenital abnormity in haemoglobin. Second fruits aur green leafy vegetables lein. Syp ferro soft kay do barray chamach rozana piyyen. Kamaskam do maah kay liay.
