person-avatar

Asking For Self, Female 30, Karachi

Assalam Alaikum, my baby boy is 3.5 months old. His food, sleep, urine, stools are all fine.. but every time he is awake he take out his saliva. Sometimes even while sleeping. I give him sterile feeder and nipple. My husband and I take great care of him but cannot understand why he spits up. Even his entire shirt gets soaked.

General Physician in Sukkur - Dr. Muhammad Saleh

Production of Saliva varies from different babies may or may not associated with underlying medical condition
If baby didn't have associated medical problem like Fever congh or reluctant to take feed than Sensible thing at this would be just close observation as with age it can resolve spontaneously

Walaikum Assalam. Well, your baby is starting his teething process!
the first teeth set in at around 6 months old, usually in pairs. At around 4 months old, the roots of the teeth start becoming active for the upcoming rapid growth process, and this in turn causes several things to happen that are in fact normal and are part of the teething process, but can turn into factors of ill health if not handled properly. Do not be too worried, but do keep in close contact with his pediatrician for further guidance and councelling on the journey of teething. Best of Luck!
