Talk to General Physician on Blood Pressure
Asking for Mother, Female, 53 years old, Karachi
My mother takes ascard in the morning and sofvasc HCT 5mg in the morning too.
As we find it difficult in getting Sofvasc 5mg easily the doctor has replaced this medicine with Tab Co Eziday 50 mg at 10 am and Tab Concor 2.5 mg twice a day.
How effective will be this change? Should we continue Ascard as well? Is ascard beneficial is taken in the morning or at night?
My mother's blood pressure rarely gets high. She is diabetic as well for which she is taking insuline humulin 70/30.
Ascard is blood thinner to prevent stroke and Heart Attack not a BP medication it's should be continued.
Ascard should be taken at morning as night time dose may cause acidity and gastric symptons.
your doctor have prescribed you medication to control BP I think you should follow his advise.

Yes ur doctor prescribed best for ur mother n plz continue ascard as it prevent from heart attack as it causes thinning of blood.dont give at night as it is aspirin may cause gastric disturbance
Your mother is diabetic so she should be on ARB ,b/c it protect her kidneys also,ascard is good n in day time ,give her also cholesterol management therapy must ,
In my opinion give her concor once a day
