Asking for Self, Female, 28 years old, Lahore
I am a nursing mom of a 11.5 months old baby girl (exclusively breastfed). I found a lump on my left breast near aerola around 3 months ago. I got it scanned and doctors say it is just impacted milk in a milk duct, the milk is solidified thus can’t be aspirated. There is no infection or redness of skin around. It’s not painful otherwise only irritation while feeding or very occasionally sharp pain. i had a ten days course of antibiotic Velosef and Denzen DS tablets. I also gave it hot compresses twice a day for ten minutes each. But it’s still the same. Dr says let it be there, keep doing hot compressions. feed ur baby and get it scan two moths later. What should i do now?
go to female surgeon
nothing much to worry about if the doctor said so, better wait and watch but if still not satisfied go for an ultrasound.
i don't think that antibiotics and anti inflammatory will help.
Chances are it’s not something to worry about if u don’t hav a positive family history - it doesn’t hurt repeat ur ultrasound of breast plus continue self examination of breast and see if it gets bigger or if ther is any change regards
Continue same treatment and repeat scan after two weeks
