Assalamu alaikum I have thalassemia intermedia which was diagnosed after the birth of my first child. Earlier in life i had no symptoms except pale skin sometimes. Currently, hemoglobin is between 7.5 to 8.9. Serum ferritin on a higher side around 400. Bilirubin 2.5 Liver and spleen enlarged. I recieved transfusions only once during 8th month of pregnancy, never after that. Can i now try for another pregnancy? Can these values become a problem for me?
kindly visit a clinical hematologist for proper evaluation.
Walaikum Salam first you should complete your thalassemia treatment otherwise your next baby can be affected
it's better to have your treatment first
