Talk to General Physician on Chronic Diarrhoea
Asking for Self, Male, 64 years old, Mianwali
I am having diarrhoea for last 6 months,I have tried almost all the antibiotics, anti diarrheal,colofac,enflor.With this diarrhoea I don't feel any muscle cramps,any fatigue (twhich usually happens when gastroeneritis ).Only pepto tabs (bismuth subsalycilate) are somewhat effective.kindly guide what to do, and what possible tests should be performed to reach the diagnosis

You needed to be assessed comprehensively as you have this issue for six months which is quite a long time and cause is to be evaluated and treated.
Hi. Antibiotics themselves can cause diarrhea so it’s not good practice to use antibiotics for every kind of diarrhea. You need to see a doctor and at least do stool analysis and culture. Continue taking ORS until u see a doctor. Thanks
How much the frequency and wats content all some othr history required better to see a specialist in area or near by and tounder gosome tests like Cbc stool re and culture etc.
