yes definitely if the cause is treated efficiently and timely then creatinine will fall back to its normal time.Its high time to identify the cause as early as possible to avoid it's increasing trend.See your physician or nephrologist to identify the cause and treat it early to get creatinine normal.

Hi. For a young man without any other disease creatinine of 2.1 is quite worrying. Creatinine rises above normal when kidney is severely damaged but u need to check underlying cause. See ur doctor who will take proper history and examine u and he may need to do some blood tests ultrasound and other tests as needed to reach to a diagnosis. Creatinine can go back to normal or it may progress to higher level depending upon the cause. Thanks

Hi. High blood pressure and diabetes do damage the kidney and lead to high levels of creatinine but there are many more including drugs and other illnesses. U need to see a doctor who can help u out
