Asking For Mother, Female 80, johar town lahore
My mother is suffering in dengue fever since last week, her platlets count is going low day by day.Now her platlets count is 46 ,she is at home, she is heart ,and blood pressure patient too.kindly suggest ma what to do.i also attach the reports
dusre doc ne kia bola h.?..hospital admit ka kuch kaha ?
Avoid using pain killers except.for Paracetàmol. Also avoid blood thinners like Aspirin and Clopidogrel.
it's better admitted in hospital as rehydration to prevent dengue shock syndrome and daily CBC should be done
Considering her platelet count and her comorbidities, it would be best if you admit your mother to a hospital to prevent any serious complications.
Thank you.
Kind regards.
get her admitted
Consult online
admit her.repeat her CBC and USG abdomen.
wait is she having from any where ? like gum
it's better to admit her considering her age and co morbids
If she is not
Bleeding from anywhere
No pain in abdomen
Not breathless
Can take fluids and not vomiting
Then keep her at home and repeat cbc and LFT
IF POSSIBLE GET ULTRASOUND FOR ANY FLUID LEAK IN HER ANDOMEN OR LUNG BASES
Low count of platelets is part of disease and they will come normal in few days . Patient with heart disease and her age I would prefer to keep her at home so she should not get other infections from hospital. BUT do give her 2 litres of liquids ( ORS , water , milk ,juices)
