Asking for Self, Female, 31 years old, Lahore
I'm three months postpartum. I was facing extreme fatigue and weakness, so doctor recommended me Cbc test. Hb was 9, all other things were normal. Doctor recommended iron infusion, I was infused with iron feroxyma, same night I got shivering and had fever. I took panadol and slept, next day temperature was quite controlled. Same night I had 103 fever, I went to general physician he gave me some injection and paracetamol drip, after 5 minutes of infusion my face started to swell and body was itching. Drip was taken off and anti allergic was given. Same night fever was gone. Now I am scared, and I have few questions in mind. >Will this reaction will occur everytime I get medicine infusion? >can i take oral iron supplements or paracetamol now? >is hair color or facial is safe in this situation? > I am breastfeeding mother, bf is also significantly reduced.

1. Fever and Reaction after iron infusion is normal.
2.Take Oral Iron supplements as Hb.9 is not that bad after pregnancy.
3.Hair Color and Facial is safe.
4.Breastfeeding depends on how many times you breastfed , the more your BF and vice versa
