My vitamin d levels were low when i got them checked. Can vitamin d deficiency cause hyperparathyroidism and hyperparathyroidism due to low vitamin d levels will be permanent or it will go away when you correct your vitamin d levels and can low vitamin d levels cause permanent damage to your parathyroid glands or not or will it be fine after you take more vitamin d? i am fearful of that
for proper diagnosis and management need to be visited by a senior general physician specialist

Correct your VIT D levels.Take enough exposure to sunlight avoiding peak hours.
Take diet rich in vit d and calcium.
ViT D def will not cause hyperparathyroidism.
When vitamin D level is low, the absorption of calcium in the intestines becomes less, which then causes the level of calcium in the blood to go down. As a consequence the parathyroid glands become more active and produce more PTH that causes calcium to come out of the bones, therefore weakening the bones. No permanent damage results & it is correctable
