during pregnancy hb was 12.8 then after miscarriage(in december) it drops to 8.(In january), after one unit of blood, it is 9 until now.

it could be some other cause of infection as our body had a capability to regain hb to normal after bleed and it usually ocures in 20 days to 1 month howevere if it is still low
there could be some other cause , yes it could be iron deficiency Which can be treated with iron
you should have a
cbc
peripheral smear with retic count
serum billirubin , total ,direct, indirect
with that serum feritine , serum iron and TIBC
all these test will lead to the cause of your hb drop and treatment will be accordingly
you should send these tests before starting iron or if you taken a dose send it now as after taking iron for long time their result can alter
after sending test you can start with iron prophylacticaly the startegy doctors usually adopt to replace iron is give iron tablet one before meal you can take it with meal if it disturb your gut but don't take gastritis medicin like risek esso etc they reduce iron absorption
idealy for 20 days of iron 1mg/dl hb must be increased if not we should prob the cause or if it is iron deficiency reflecting on your tests like serum iron and TIBC use Iv iron like venofer injections
my opinion is go for the test first
