Asking for Husband, Male, 30 years old, Faisalabad
My husband is facing plantar fasciitis. Dr suggested him Dexlansoprazole 60mg empty stomach in the morning. I just googled this medicine and it says it reduces stomach acid used for gastroesophageal reflux. Is it right medicine for feet or due to some spelling mistake pharmacist gave wrong medicine?
no spelling mistake its fr stomach
fr planter fascitis treatment is different
He must had written some other pain killer and to protect stomach it must be written, make sure he has not written any other drug ??
Can not read first med .
Better give him tab caflam 1+1+1
Instead of first one and follow the remaining treatment .
Like my page/group on fb “ living healthy with diabetes “ there I posted exercise for plantar fasciitis . Can’t post here .
Regards
dexlansopraxole is for gastric acidity. the patient may have told the doctor about stomach acidity therefore the doctor must have given it for that purpose. it is not for feet pain. for plantar fasciitis he can try putting his feet in slightly warm water for 15 minutes every night before sleeping, and using heel cushion whenever possible. usually the first steps taken in the morning cause most pain in this condition, he should keep heel cushions on his bed and use them when he starts walking after getting up.

First medicine is Lornoxicam 8mg for pain & inflammation. Its seems a brand of local company. If it is of same ingredient then you can use other brands of high quality like Xika Rapid of Hilton, Loxibar 8mg of Barret Hodgson, Atcam of ATCO, Zafon fast of Getz etc.......
The drug you mentioned is for acid peptic disease and is not used for plantar fasciitis.
The mentioned medicine is PPI, which is used for heartburn/acidity/GERD & not for pain. However, it can be prescribed if your father has complaint of heartburn/acidity/GERD, & can be prescribed with a pain killer/antibiotic to prevent chances of acidity/heartburn/GERD.
