Talk to General Physician on Nose Bleeding (Nakseer)
Asking For Other, Male 6, Pakpattan
I have a 6 years old nephew, he often has enormous nose bleeding and it wont just stop. We followed the traditional way of keeping head under cold water but takes time to stop. Is it hazardous? Whats the reason behind it and please suggest the treatment regarding it. Thankyou

You need to take your nephew to ENT specialist so that the exact cause of bleeding from nose may be determined. Mostly the bleeding from nose is from an area known as Little's area. The mucous membrane of nose when becomes dry and crusty, a small touch to nose may rupture the capillaries in Little's area of nose. The best practice is to keep the inner membrane of nose moist with olive oil drops or Liquid paraffin. One drop in each nostril every night. Please remember frequent episodes of epistaxis May lead to anaemia. Good luck
