Asking For Someone else, Father, Male, 63 Years old, lahore
The patient is a 63 yo diabetic male with pain in thumb.there is a h/o injury 2 weeks bck.pain is reffered to arm occassionally
Get the pt examined by an orthopaedic surgeon in Opd.
Most common injury associated with the thumb pain which worsen with movement and radiating to arm is Scaphoid fracture.
.
But this fracture is not easily visible on xray initially.
Treatment:
Scaphoid Cast for 2 weeks ( by minor OT)
Tab Qalsan D 1tab daily after meals
Tab Artifen 50mg 1+0+1

Probably its Scaphoid injury,if pain reduce with medication then it is good but if not then you should need to do MRI with reporting for proper diagnosis . Dr Sikandar here

To reduce pain and conservative management i can handle it but you need to do MRI and get an opinion from orthopaedic surgeon
