Aoa, so my father is having this problem of have a stuffiness feeling in his throat he says it’s like mucus is stuck there and has tried many home remedies to get rid of it as well as pain while swallowing and sometimes in his ear

This is dysphagia means difficulty in swallowing
difficulty in swallowing has many causes ,can occur due to problems in oropharynx or oesophagus
Dysphagia should always be investigated urgently specially in elderly
I will suugest you to see a doctor who can examine the throat and advise you accordingly
Needs examination by an ENT Specialist
Give him steam of saline , salt and water . And give any anti allergy for three days subha sham and risek 20 mg , and eplazyume cap 15 mins before each meal and give semil solid food . Three days do same routine then give me feedback. If symptoms persist then ENT splt will do upper respiratory track endoscopy
