Talk to General Physician on The Base Of 5th Metatarsal Fracture

My left foot (The base of the 5th metatarsal) fractured 12 days ago. Now I'm having a cast for 12 days as well. My concern is that can I use plaster boots or air walking boots for immobility. Or should I go with a plaster cast? By the way, the cast is fiberglass cast. Thanka
