My mother's brothers are diabetic.. so i am worry about my mother that she might become a diabetic as she is obese too... so should i go for glucophage or not befor the dibeties develop.. as she also has back pain .... her renal status is ok...

Don't need to start her on medications... Try to reduce weight...i would suggest keto diet for reducing weight
