Asking for Father, Male, 65 years old, Rawalpindi
Hello, my father is complaining about chest discomfort sometimes specially while walking in a fast way. ECG was normal I am attaching a chest x-ray and report saying "No active lung parenchymal lesion seen correlate clinically" please tell what does it mean and is it something to worry and which dr we should consult if it needs further investigation.
Salaam
Firstly is your father diabetic, hypertensive, smoker, etc or any other comorbids
Secondly weight or sudden increase in weight n height
Thirdly family history
so reply for this
Please do Echo and then if echo is normal go for ETT. From how long he is feeling chest discomfort and is he having diabetes hypertension ?

Also ask your doctor to change hypertension medicine as cough maybe side effect of zestril. If it’s started after taking zestril.

We have to rule out angina, kindly consult a local dr or book a online consultation for detailed history
Please note that only very minor issues can be dealt with via messaging. Most medical problems cannot be handled without appointment. it is unsafe to request or prescribe medicines without talking in detail with patient.
trying to take shortcuts to medical treatment for a symptom such as chest pain can kill.

Respected dr. what kind of shortcut did I take? I shared his x-ray and asked which field dr we should consult for further investigation.

Hi! Your father with the presenting complaint of chest pain on exertion should be seen by a cardiologist who will advise the appropriate test for heart eg Stress Echocardiography/Thalium scan initially and plan for any further course of action.
Also worthwhile would be to rule out Hiatus hernia.
please see a Cardiologist ASAP.

Cough if dry can be one side effect of zestril
If he is diabetes n smoker without any further delay he should be seen by a cardiologist for Echo,
and may need further conservative n invasive management
